iMac g4 - Hard Drives

Hello everyone!

Im getting an iMac g4 20inch (1.25ghz model & usb 2.0) and im planning a lot of upgrades. I want to max out the ram, add an airport card and put a new hard drive in it, but I don't know which one. Does it use the new SATA or just IDE? Can I put a 7200rpm disc in it?

Thanks for responding!

Hello,

Standard Hard Drive:80 GB (7200 RPM)Int. HD Interface:Ultra ATA/100
Details:This model supports hard drives larger than 128 GB.

So not SATA, but may be possible or not to use a SATA drive with an IDE->SATA adapter.

Looks like there is one 7200 RPM drive still available, & some SSDs...

Max RAM is 2 GB, & it appears to use 2 different style DIMMS in each slot...
